* After an explosive chase, Kai makes it out to the Dusk Zones and finds Ono’s apartment trashed. Before he can react, he meets the woman from the memory—Rei.
* Rei brings Kai to her secret hideout and reveals that she, Natalya, Ono, and Kai were all hackers hired by AMYRA to work on the ultimate memory weapon before Kai’s memories were wiped.
* To trigger the return of his memories, Kai watches a memory of himself having sex with Rei, and experiences the return of emotions he had previously felt for her.
* Kai decides to trust Rei and begins making new memories with her.
* After three weeks of living with Rei, Kai volunteers to run an errand for Rei and leaves the hideout.
* Kai’s oxygen compressor malfunctions and he faints in the desert.
